Spring Sewing Party

This weekend Kelly is hosting the Spring Sewing Party

and I am totally BUMMMED

that I am not going to be able to participate this time!

We are going

to see the Monster Truck Show

and I will be away from my sewing machine.

Ummmm.....

I had such a great time at the last sewing party

and I met a lot of awesome quilters.

I know that everyone is HARD CORE

and a lot of great projects will be completed this weekend!

Since I won't be able to participate,

I thought that I would show you what I am working on right now.

One is for me and one is for a "wee little one".

Ok Ladies,

just because I won't be near my sewing machine

doesn't mean that I won't

be dropping in on the party to see what is going on!

I know that you won't disappoint me!

Until Next Time...Happy Quilting!

they work.

Here is the back of the quilt.

(Malibu Monkey used for backing)

More Progress

Watching the Olympics every night

makes it difficult to get caught up on anything!

(Not to mention that I am so tired the next morning.)

But with a little help

I did make more progress:

The quilting & binding are done.

My Little Person put on the binding clips.

Now I just have to focus on sewing down the binding

while I am watching American Idol!

Progress

Despite having to use these again,

progress was made on my February CG&GQC project.

It all began in a very  "technical" way:

(I am sure that the design gods would cringe at this! It is drawn on the

back of my grocery list)

 I began cutting

and some sewing was done with a little help from my Litte Person.

some mornings!

I will break this up into two posts.

Holy Cow!

Holy Cow!

This is not Colorado or the East Coast!

This is the Deep South...Mississippi!

Last night we got a few inches of snow.

I know that it is not much but it NEVER snows down here!

The entire city has shutdown

& we are enjoying a 4 day weekend!

Luckily my Little Person's snow bib and snow boots from

last year's trip to Mammoth Lakes still fit.

We made snow angels.

We rolled down the hill.

And we made a giant snowman.

We are definately enjoying our day in the snow.
