Mini Letter Quilt

After my wonderful mini-vacation was over, "Mommy Reality" hit me. Of course there was the usual waking up early, laundry, cooking, "Mommy do this," "Mommy play this,"etc.

Then the other day, my Little Person had an incident with the corner of the coffee table. The corner of the coffee table met the bridge of his nose, which make the most horrific crashing noise! Needless to say after spending the day at the doctor's office, everything is fine except for the nasty swollen nose and bruise.

Besides all of that drama, I wanted to share with you the mini quilts that I made for my Blogger Buddies!

The "C" is for Cara (AKA Mrs. Nook ). The "J" is for Jennifer (AKA Mrs. Sweet Liberty). The "K" is for Kelly (AKA Mrs. Charming Chatter ).

I obviously delivered Cara and Jennifer's mini quilt in person. Kelly's quilt traveled solo via mail to her. Kelly and I have become close "Blog Buddies" through her shop (Cotton Charm) and I just wanted to thank her for everything! She loves her quilt so much and you can read about it here ! When I read it, my heart was smiling! Thanks Kelly! (XOXO)....:0)

BTW- I used jelly roll strips from Moda's new line Patisserie by Fig Tree. The brown is from Zippity Doo Dah by Sandy Gervais. The backing fabric is Dandelion Girl by Fig Tree.

Oh yeah, Kelly, don't let the other "K" steal your quilt!

Until Next Time...Happy Quilting!

Back To Reality

As you know, I was able to have a "mini summer vacation" with my Blogger Buddies, Mrs. Sweet Liberty and Mrs. Quilt Nook. (I call it "mini" because it was too short!) Cara has been my "partner in crime" for about 5 years (gosh how time flies). Jennifer was my Stitcher's Angel in the Stitcher's Angel Swap hosted by Helen. I have never met Jennifer in person, which made this trip REALLY special to me!

Here is a photo of the Blogger Buddies hanging out in Annapolis:

What did we do? Just the usual blogger/quilt/girl talk, quilt shop hopping, eating, and the basic trouble making.

Did I mention the best part, the "gifties"? Jennifer made this cute fabric cuff out my favorite fabric line. She has a link for the tutorial here .

Cara made me this awesome pin cushion to sit on my cutting table. She knows that I have a small collection of pin cushions.

A small amount of time was devoted to quilting. Here is what I did: 3 hexagon flowers
and I started another project, which has been sitting in my pile since last November.

I really didn't need to start ANOTHER project! Who knows how long it will be before you see this completed project.

Check back tomorrow because I am going to post pictures of the "gifties" that I made for them and my charming friend, Kelly!

Until Next Time....Happy Quilting!
