Boxes, Boxes, Boxes

The truck finally arrived last week! All 14, 000 lbs of my stuff made it across the country. (Yes, the trucked weighed 14,000 lbs when they weighed it! I wonder how much of that was my fabric stash? )
How long does it take to unpack 14,000 lbs? A lot longer than it used to take me! Now I have a little person who insists upon building a fort out of all of the boxes. So, after one week of endless unpacking, I am about 75% done with the boxes.
Here are some of the boxes in my "soon-to-be" studio!
It has only been about 2 weeks, but you know that I always have to have some kind of drama!
First, there was this:
Yes, that is SNOW, which is something that I never woke up to in Southern California!

Then there was my tooth emergency! Have you ever had to take a 2 year old with you to the dentist?

Anyway, I am taking a little vacation from the boxes. I will be visiting my family in Florida for 2 weeks. Hopefully there won't be any snow!

Until Next Time.....Happy Quilting!

Chop, chop get to those boxes girl! I can still remember those days fondly! It was so nice to take away the last box, clean the house properly and then the day comes when all is quiet and you actually get to settle in to your new quilting area and SEW!!! But no...your heading to Florida!!! Have fun!!

Ahhh - the box parade. It's a chore, but a little like Christmas, too. You're surprised by what you find in each box - like visiting old friends *s8
