My First Blog!

Hello Blogland!

This is my first post and my first time blogging! I would have never done this if it hadn't of been for my friend, Cara, at The Quilt Nook. She is also new to blogging and she has gotten me hooked! If you read her posts, I am "the quilt buddy" that she mentions in her blogs. Cara and I have been friends for years and we share many of the same interests and passions, so it is only fitting that she introduced me to blogland.

I have been quilting since 2002. A group of my girlfriends, who were quiltmakers,were going to a quilt class. I decided to tag-along with them, even though I didn't have a sewing machine and I didn't have a clue as to what quiltmaking involved. I had such a great time that I went home and begged my husband to buy me a sewing machine. At that time it just wasn't reasonable for me to purchase a decent machine, so I was just content to tag-along with the girls. Later that year, my husband secretly inquired about sewing machines and purchase one for my Christmas gift. The rest is history.

As you read our blogs, you will see that Cara and I are doing the similar projects. It always helps to have someone who shares you obsessions! Her enthusiasm always keeps me motivated and I hope that you will also find the same inspiration!
